Missing Paris all over again..

So i was clearing up my old travel wallet, and guess what i found inside? 50 euros, my leftover T+ RER ticket, the train timing leaflet and the Auchan card. These items were part of my daily routine, reading the train timings, planning what time i had to wake up to eat my cereal and then fill my water bottle with filtered water, and clear my garbage on my way out to the train station. More often than not, you find me running through the field cos i realized that there is an additional bag of wet mush in the sink that belongs in that garbage package, and i take a few extra minutes to ensure that my kitchen is clean before leaving. Dry clothes hanging on the correct hooks, spoons and forks standing in the mug for drying, plates all dried and stacked properly in the cabinet and the other peripheral hanging on their respective hooks. Grabbing my RER ticket as i reach the bus station, listening out for the dreaded whistle before the train doors close, i’m thankful for those short and irregular gym sessions that keep my legs from turning into jelly during the race up the hill.

Grocery shopping after classes is a must, because if not, i will go hungry and turn to my cereals in the middle of the night. Spaghetti check, tomato sauce check, minced meat check, sausages check, apples check, and not forgetting my favorite food group, cereal, check. Opps, and milk too.

I miss the cold winds that make me shiver really badly while lugging my “kill” for the day down the slope and across the field. Slugs were aplenty on the well trodden path of the field, and i played hopscotch, avoiding squishing those slow and slimy creatures. I loved it when i finally reach the metal gate, where i had to juggle my groceries and tap the reader with the magnetic access thingy, because that signaled that the comfort of the heater nearing. Opening the swinging door of the building with the magical magnetic tap, i’m treated to a blast of warmth, signaling the time for me to warm myself up with a good dinner and hot bath.

=)
